Planets are Out of Bounds when they travel beyond the yearly orb of the sun which moves between the Tropic of Cancer at summer solstice and the Tropic of Capricorn at winter solstice. Out of Bound planets can be unstable, especially when Mars is Out of Bounds. People often withdraw when Mercury and Venus are Out of Bounds.

Dominant Energies - 2015
The planetary energies in 2015 will be somewhat more gentle than those of 2014. Changing circumstanses continue to dominate and we may find ourselves charting our course through unknown waters and solving problems using less conventional approaches. Much can be be acheived if we hold tight to our vision.
2015 is remarkable in several ways. The Chinese Year of the Female Wooden Sheep begins officially on February 18th @ 6:47 pm EST when the New Moon is at 29 Degrees and 59 minutes of Aquarius. Chinese New Years always begins with the New Moon in Aquarius and this year, the new moon is at the last degree and the last minute of the sign. Also, the first solar eclipse of the year on March 20th is at the last degree of Pisces (the last sign), just 13 hours before the Spring Equinox. In addition, we will be experiencing the last of 7 Uranus/Pluto squares on March 16th. Uranus square Pluto can change your life in ways you may not have anticipated. It can also get you moving or release you from a unwanted situation.
The first quarter of the year (up through the Full Moon Eclipse on April 4th which falls within orb of the last Uranus/Pluto square) favors letting go of patterns, structures and thought forms that no longer work for us. Saturn in Sagitarius supports education and the formation of new perspectives.
Saturn moved into Sagitarius on December 23rd, 2014 after a 2 year sojurn in Scorpio. Saturn in Scorpio gave us the opportunity to journey to the depths of our psyche and uncover deeply subcounscious negative patterns that were influencing our daily lives. We may have been forced to deal with our shadow with its unconscious fears and compulsions that prevented us from being fully present to our evolutionary journey.
Saturn in Sagitarius can help us to reframe our goals and thinking so we can ultimately experience more personal freedom. At least we can get a glimpse of how we align with our own inner truth before Saturn retrogrades back into Scorpio on June 14th for a brief 3 month sojurn until September 17th when it reenters Sagitarius. We can use this 3 month period to finally clear out any negative residues that are holding us back from manifesting those dreams and visions that align with our soul journey or blueprint.
In 2015, Saturn comes close to a square to Neptune during the first 3 months of the year and again in late October, November and early December. Saturn makes an exact square at the end of November. It may not be easy to manifest dreams and visions, however, it can be done and it will produce lasting results.
Prior to the exact square of Saturn and Neptune in late November, Jupiter in Virgo will oppose Neptune in mid September. Jupiter will stretch our imagination and give us inspiration, but our projects and ideas will have to pass the test of Saturn in late November when Saturn squares Neptune.
Dominant Energies - 2014
The Chinese New Year begins officially with the New Moon in Aquarius each year. This year, 2014, the Aquarius New Moon on January 31st marks the beginning of a new cycle that focuses on social responsibility and individual authenticity. Being true to oneself is a continuing theme in 2014.
We are required to be strong in the midst of an intermittent cardinal cross that dominates the first half of the year. Planetary squares have the inherent ability to push us beyond our boundaries. Staying strong requires self awareness....the ability to live one's truth. Rising to the challenge will bring rewards that extend beyond this year.
Years that correlate with the Chinese symbol of the Horse are fast moving. Horse years are considered fortunate and the Wood Horse years can bring fast victories and unexpected adventures. Horses are archtypically symbollic of Power. Is it any coincidence that 2014 began with a New Moon in Capricorn conjunct Pluto?
Mars has an eight month sojourn in the sign of Libra that ends in July 2014. Mars triggers squares and grand crosses with Uranus, Pluto and Jupiter that pulls us in different directions at the same time. Opportunities are present though it is likely we will have to let go of that which does not align with our precious visions. Particularly challenging months include January and April with an exact Grand Cardinal Cross occurring on April 22nd, less than one week after a total Lunar Eclipse that lasts for one hour. 2014 offers us opportunities to jump start projects and initiatives.
Jupiter moves into the sign of Leo on July 17th bringing optimism, expansion and a renewed commitment to our true self. A trine to Uranus on September 26th can encourage changes that align to our visions and highest expectations. An important key to manifestation in 2014 is being open to inspiration and whatever makes your heart sing. You then magnetize that which belongs to you. This is your truth.
There are 3 remaining squares between Uranus and Pluto: April 21/22; December 14 and March 16, 2015. Whenever Uranus and Pluto come together, we experience both personal and social unrest and turbulence. There are various themes that describe the tension generated by this powerful square that include: new & innovative methodologies vs the status quo; the sudden and abrupt change of power; trusting instincts that align to the universal "I am" presence in the face of fear and preconceived judgement.
Important dates involving solar and lunar eclipses are:
April 14/15th - Lunar Eclipse (25 Libra)
April 28th - Solar Eclipse (9Taurus)
October 8th - Lunar Eclipse (15 Libra)
October 23rd - Solar Eclipse (0 Scorpio)
Eclipses are times when events can change on a dime, especially when planets in the natal chart are located with 2 degrees of the eclipse point. The influence from an eclipse can be felt from 1 to 6 months before and after an eclipse. The April 14th Lunar eclipse is especially potent.
